Account Executive – £35k – £45k

The Account Executive is a quota carrying role focusing on Business account relationships and will rely on in person, telephone and web-based interactions to engage prospects and customers within a defined geographical territory.  

The Account Executive manages the full sales cycle to organizations with Business-to-Consumer marketing needs. In this role, you’ll identify prospects, understand their challenges and highlight how Roam Local will enhance and simplify their Marketing.  Work with clients directly and through our Local Government partners to identify leads, close deals and onboard new business clients to our award-winning product. 

Based remotely in the UK, with some travel, this position requires a motivated self-starter who will be responsible for all net new sales and continuing relationship management. This role will report to the Chief Sales and Business Development Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Meet and work to exceed set monthly and quarterly sales targets, owning and managing your own pipeline to successful closure. 
  • Find, cultivate and close deals! Lead Roam Local sales efforts within assigned territory, ranging from initial lead generation, qualification calls through the sales process to closing and onboarding business. 
  • Daily callout activities to aid lead generation, pipeline build, upsell and cross sell activities and reactivation of former customers
  • Follow up on new opportunities by phone and in person support throughout the sales cycle using Roam CRM pipeline and lead management  
  • Advance product evaluation through diligent and timely follow up with your opportunity pipeline 
  • Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly pipeline
  • Provide customer service as and when needed
  • Deliver basic product demonstrations both in person and via webinar, communicating price and technical information to prospects
  • Attend weekly pipeline and forecast meetings with management 
  • Never stop learning! Constantly stay current with industry changes and trends and build your expertise in the trends on the highstreet and Roam users

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS 

  • Speak English fluently
  • At least 6 months relevant tech app or software selling and winning sales experience 
  • Proficiency with high volume prospecting and creating net new business via phone, email and in person. 
  • Strong knowledge of sales model and able to identify how the Smartphone apps align to customer requirements
  • Consultative selling skills 
  • Ability and experience to communicate effectively to engage clients in discussions that result in new business 
  • Ability to uncover, identify and leverage published and internal customer information
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Technologically savvy and ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented and metrics-driven
  • Experience using Sales CRMs a plus
