Beckenham was an affluent Victorian suburb. David Bowie lived at Haddon Hall in Beckenham from 1969 to 1973 — writing and recording Ziggy Stardust and Space Oddity here. The Three Tuns hosted his Arts Lab events in the late 1960s.
