A little history
Bexhill hosted the first motor race in Britain on 19 May 1902. The De La Warr Pavilion, opened in 1935 and designed by Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff, is one of the finest Modernist buildings in Britain — a white steel and glass masterpiece on the seafront.
