A little history
Brownhills grew as a coal mining town on the South Staffordshire coalfield. Chasewater Reservoir was built in 1797 to supply water to the Birmingham Canal Navigations. The Chasewater Railway preserves industrial locomotives. Cannock Chase AONB is minutes from the town.
