A little history
Okehampton Castle — founded in the 11th century and expanded in the 14th century — is the largest castle in Devon and one of its most romantic ruins. The town is at the northern edge of Dartmoor. The Tarka Line from Exeter runs to Okehampton, and weekend services onto the moor have been reinstated.
