A little history
Richmond Park — created by Charles I in 1637 — is London's largest park and holds 600 deer. The view from Richmond Hill, looking over the Thames and meadows towards St Paul's, was protected by an Act of Parliament in 1902 — the only such protected view in England. The town has extraordinary Georgian and Victorian architecture.
