Local Darlington Entrepreneur Builds Tech Startup Headquartered out of Home Town

North East based former race jockey and entrepreneur Andrew Bartlett, now founder of Roam Local – a digital marketing app designed to connect small and local businesses with local and national consumers – is announcing the launch of his new headquarters in Darlington. 

Roam Local is designed to digitise and level up small and local businesses across all sectors from retail and hospitality to the leisure and tourism industry, all who have suffered greatly from the damaging economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Roam is taking the digital marketing industry by storm winning numerous awards and endorsements not just for the proven ecosystem designed to work for small and local businesses and the resulting impressive footfall and revenue enhancements, but also for the social media format that is the Roam local platform that empowers the user community to support their favourite businesses through referral and recommendation and to do so safely with Roam’s safeguarding and friend finder features. 

Andrew’s vision for the Roam Local app began and was launched back in 2018 in his native home of the North East, he is committed to giving something back to his local community and believes passionately that the Roam Local app provides a game changing digital marketing solution to small and local businesses that enhances their reach and business growth, whilst also creating jobs and stimulating the economy. Something absolutely vital as the Darlington community emerges from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Roam’s is on track to achieve its ambitions for growth across the UK with over 500,000 users and 50,000 businesses hosted on the Roam Local app, all from its North East Headquarters in Darlington, that will provide over 3,000 full time job opportunities ranging from business development, customer support services and product and technical development. 

Roam Local is designed to highlight the superb local businesses and the diverse heritage and culture of every town and city of the UK, connecting both the local communities and visitors alike with everything that the UK has to offer under a Local Vision but with a National Presence.
